Standing in Solidarity with Refugees on Passover

Dear Samantha,

This is the first Passover since the administration has tried - not once, but twice - to enact a ban on refugees. Your support has been absolutely instrumental in our efforts to fight anti-immigrant, Islamophobic policies. Around New York and around the country, Jewish immigrants and allies are sending a strong message that they have not forgotten their own millennia-long history as refugees - from Exodus to the Holocaust.

Will you continue to help refugees this Passover - by giving $18, $36, or $54 today?

On Passover each year, we celebrate the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt; we remember when Moses told the pharaoh, "Let my people go." This year, we stand united against a Muslim ban, border wall, and deportations, and we tell the administration: "Let my people stay."

In the Passover tradition, 18 (or "chai") signifies life. We hope that you will make a gift of $18, $36, $54, $180 or more to support the New York Immigration Coalition’s work to protect refugees and immigrants who call our New York home.

With opportunity & justice for all,

Steven Choi
