March to End the #MuslimBan - Sunday 1/29, 2PM BATTERY PARK

We know it's last minute, but there's a lot happening fast and we want you to know about it.

On Saturday, in a incredibly successful rapid response action put together by NYIC and our partners, thousands of people descended upon JFK calling for the release of dozens of refugees and immigrants who were being detained, questioned, and refused entry to the United States. Our actions took place less than twenty-four hours after the issuance of President Trump's executive orders banning refugees and Muslim immigrants from the country.

Due to the collective efforts of advocates, lawyers and community organizers in New York and nationwide, a New York federal court has issued a temporary stay halting President Donald Trump’s executive order, preventing the Administration from unlawfully deporting any more individuals.

But the fight is not over. We still need to call the Administration to permanently reverse these executive orders and free all those who are being unlawfully-detained by Border Patrol at airports across America.

Join us at 2pm at Battery Park City in Manhattan, opposite the Statue of Liberty.

Together, we will show the Administration that #OurNY welcomes and respects the dignity and rights of refugees, Muslims, and immigrants. We will turn our outrage into action.

Help spread the word on facebook and twitter.

(And if you can't make it, consider donating to the NYIC so that we can keep up the momentum to stop these anti-immigrant executive orders.)
