Conference: This Land is Your Land, Too: Working Together for Immigrant New Yorkers

On June 9th, the New York Immigrant Assistance Consortium will hold their inaugural conference hosted by the New York Law School. The purpose of this one-day conference is to advance the capacity of immigrant assistance provider organizations in New York that serve clients in an efficient, effective and coordinated manner. The conference will bring members of the Immigration community together to share their best practices and learn from current and prior experiences in immigration assistance efforts like DACA, as well as other mass assistance efforts like those following Hurricane Sandy and 9/11.

Following his weekend spiel on 96K-Lite FM in his college days, Mr. Kiernan began to work for Canada’s fourth largest TV Market, CFRN, as a general assignment reporter. Since then he has anchored a weekly business news magazine program and at various times worked as the station's assistant news director, assignment editor, producer and news anchor at CTV network-affiliated station. He has also worked as the Senior Producer of the prime-time newscast "ITV News at Ten" on CITV, one of Canada's satellite superstations, where his duties included an on-air role as host of "Your Money," a popular segment he created. Pat joined the Time Warner family as the anchor and producer of the Fortune Business Report, and was named NY1's morning anchor in 1997.
