2017 NYIC Member Congress: Strengthening Immigrant NY (Albany, NY)

The NYIC has decided to reschedule the Member Congress, originally scheduled for October 2-3 in Albany, in solidarity with our worker brothers and sisters who have launched a strike against the management of the previous location; and out of sensitivity to the needs and priorities of our colleagues who are working to complete tens of thousands of DACA renewal applications by October 5.

We will be contacting people who have registered for the event very shortly to let them know what the new dates and location are. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these changes might cause. Please feel free to contact membership@nyic.org if you have any questions or concerns.

The New York Immigration Coalition envisions a New York State that is stronger because all people are welcome, treated fairly, and given the chance to pursue their dreams.

The Member Congress will unite NYIC members and partner organizations from all corners of the state to design and build the statewide strategy and movement needed to achieve our vision together.

Strengthening Immigrant NY will be a two day collaborative process dedicated to deep dives into priority issues, policy solutions, advocacy strategies, and power building. This process builds upon the input gathered from members, partners, and community leaders through NYIC regional round tables, member surveys, and countless conversations with stakeholders across New York and the United States.

We hope to leave the Congress a stronger coalition with a shared blueprint to guide our movement together over the next five years. Your voice and experience is critical to our collective success. We look forward to seeing you there!
